What is CBD coffee
CBD coffee or CBD-infused coffee is the name given to a coffee with CBD or hemp extracts incorporated. This drink has become popular since CBD has proven to have many therapeutic properties that allow you to stay healthy while relaxing.
Coffee and CBD enthusiasts were quick to realize that this blend would be beneficial, and then, studies on the subject confirmed that the combination of the two could indeed have a very beneficial impact on a consumer's daily life.
In fact, integrating cannabinoids into one's daily life brings a positive action on concentration, energy or even digestion. These benefits make CBD coffee one of the easiest ways to consume CBD in your diet.
In morning coffee or throughout the day, the preparation is discreet, simple and very effective.
What are the techniques for making CBD coffee?
CBD coffee is a very simple preparation, which does not require any utensils or significant preparation time. It can be made in 5 min, just like a normal coffee, and consumed wherever you want.
The two most popular ways to make CBD coffee are:
-
By making coffee with coffee beans already infused with CBD
-
Adding CBD oil to your classic coffee
These methods are very simple and correspond to classic coffee use. Other variations exist, including using CBD honey. But truth be told, these other methods only complicate the task that is so simple.
Let's explain these two methods in more detail.
CBD Infused Coffee Beans
Using CBD-infused coffee beans is perhaps the easiest way to make CBD coffee at home.
To do this, you need to get coffee beans pre-infused with CBD-rich organic hemp extract. You don't need to add or brew anything, everything is already prepared. The roasted beans are ready to use, whether in a filter machine, espresso machine or French press.
How are the coffee beans infused with CBD?
Coffee beans produce their own natural oils. If you get a stomach ache from drinking too much coffee, for example, it's probably because of that overly rich natural oil.
This natural coffee oil is used during infusion with full spectrum hemp extracts, offering a wide variety of cannabinoids, terpenes, minerals and nutrients.
What do these CBD coffee beans taste like?
If the manufacturer uses high quality hemp and a proper brewing process, the taste of the coffee is not affected by the CBD. It may have a slight hemp aroma, but the coffee won't taste too different from your typical cup of coffee.
Where to get CBD coffee beans
CBD coffee beans are widely available in the United States and a little less so in Europe. You can get them from CBD online stores for about €30-35 per kg.
Add CBD oil to your coffee
This technique is as simple as adding sugar to your prepared coffee. This easiest way, which is now quite common, is to add a few drops of CBD oil to your coffee, then stir it.
The amount of drops will depend on the potency of the CBD oil you are using, and the reason you are consuming CBD, we recommend between 5 and 15 mg of CBD per cup.

How much CBD to put in your coffee?
This depends entirely on your personal preferences. Here are recommendations from professionals who have tried several different combinations and dosages.
10 to 15 mg of CBD oil: This is a perfect dosage for a relaxing cup of coffee on the weekend, when you don't feel like leaving the house much.
5 to 8 mg of CBD oil: This is the perfect dosage for weekday mornings. In fact, consuming CBD in small doses has been shown to have an energizing effect, making it the perfect supplement before going to work, to boost yourself after lunch.
A dosage of less than 5 mg is not strong enough to have really impactful effects or to cancel out the harmful effects of caffeine, while a dosage of more than 15 mg provides a taste and effect that is a bit too strong to really enjoy your coffee and post-coffee. Of course, we invite you to do your own experimentation in order to determine the perfect dosage according to your need and your consumption of CBD and coffee!
Reminder:
For 5% concentrated CBD oil: 1 drop = 2.5 mg
For 10% concentrated CBD oil: 1 drop = 5 mg
For 15% concentrated CBD oil: 1 drop = 7.5 mg
For 20% concentrated CBD oil: 1 drop = 10 mg
