What is HSD?
At 321CBD, we do not run an anonymous blog or affiliate advertising site. We have the ambition to be the first CBD shop in France and as such, we have a responsibility which we have also expressed in our . What do we know about HSD? Let's be honest: not much... whatever the competition and pseudo-experts on legal hemp say.
HSD is a molecule that came out of nowhere in very doubtful timing, namely the day after the ban on HHC and its derivatives (HHCP and HHCO-O in particular) by the State on June 12, 2023.
Its composition? It is simply unknown at the time of writing these lines. We think it is a kind of hybrid between HHC and THCP or THCV. At best, we are in the dubious and shady. At worst, we are staggering.
So you will have understood: it is not on 321CBD that you will find HSD.
HSD: vague and generic descriptions
Unfortunately, some e-retailers specializing in hemp products already offer HSD-based products. We did our homework to try to see things more clearly, to no avail. We have also put together the “definitions” of HSD for you, as they are offered on these sites:
«HSD is an innovative molecule extracted from Cannabis Sativa, also known as industrial hemp”;
“HSD results from a combination of specific cannabinoids and carefully selected terpenes”;
“HSD is an exceptional molecule, the result of chemical engineering exclusive and not present in nature”;
And our favorite: “HSD is a legal molecule created from an expert synergy of cannabinoids and terpenes from the Cannabis Sativa plant, providing a stimulating and balanced experience without any regulatory constraints”.
Not a word about the chemical formula. Not a word about the provenance.
Maybe HSD is a legitimate and harmless molecule. But as we speak to you, there is no evidence to support this. And any CBD professional who would say otherwise would be reckless at best. In short, run away... at full speed.
HSD: our position at 321CBD
We are aware of the responsibility we have as an online store for legal hemp products. Each product we offer undergoes rigorous testing to validate:
Its traceability;
Its safety;
Its concentration of good cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, CBC, CBG…);
The absence of THC and any psychotropic effects, in accordance with current regulations (less than 0.3%).
No molecule unknown to the battalion will find its place in our offer. Your health and safety are our priority.
Moreover, we have always worked for the precautionary principle in the legal hemp sector, with an even more severe position than that of the State. Indeed, the law authorizes all cannabinoids which are not prohibited. We believe the paradigm needs to change, so that ALL cannabinoids are banned by default, except those that are permitted. The nuance is important, but it is crucial, because authorization would result from rigorous testing.
