Ingredients for your CBD quiche (serves 4)
CBD quiche, or “serenity” quiche, uses an ancestral Lorraine recipe to which we add legal hemp zest to delight the body and mind. Here are the ingredients you will need:
-
1 roll of shortcrust pastry;
-
3 fresh eggs, beaten;
-
200 ml crème fraîche;
-
150 ml of whole milk;
-
100 g of grated cheese (gruyere or emmental will be perfect!);
-
200 g of bacon or diced smoked tofu;
-
1 small tablespoon of quality CBD oil;
-
Salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg, to enhance the flavors.
How to prepare CBD quiche?
Unroll your shortcrust pastry and delicately place it in a previously buttered tart pan. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent it from swelling during cooking. For a crispier dough, blind-cook it for 10 minutes at 180°C.
Chef's tip : use cooking balls or dried beans on the bottom of the tart to keep the dough flat during this first cooking.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the fresh cream, milk and CBD oil. Make sure the oil is well integrated for even diffusion of the benefits of hemp in each portion. Salt, pepper and add a pinch of nutmeg to enhance the taste.
The gourmet's tip: adding CBD oil directly to crème fraîche allows better assimilation of cannabinoids, which are fat-soluble molecules .
Distribute the bacon or smoked tofu on the pre-cooked tart base, then sprinkle with grated cheese. Then pour the egg mixture over the filling. This stratification ensures an equal distribution of flavors in each bite.
Then,bake your quiche at 180°C for 30 to 35 minutes, until the top is nicely browned. Patience is a virtue… especially when making quiche. So keep an eye on your feast to avoid overcooking.
Serve your CBD quiche with a green salad for a balanced meal, perfect for a relaxing evening.
