CBD, what effects on the quality of sleep?
CBD, a great ally for finding healthy and restorative sleep? Affirmative. It is even, with the anti-stress aspect, the main reason which pushes consumers to integrate the good cannabinoids of the hemp plant into their daily life.
Several studies (see here or here) showed the impact of CBD on the quantity and quality of sleep. In addition to accelerating the falling asleep phase to put an end to insomnia, CBD soothes paradoxical sleep disorders such as nocturnal verbalization (talking in one's sleep), muscle spasms, sudden movements in the middle of sleep. as well as random and untimely awakenings that fragment your night.
If CBD has found its audience in France, it is because it responds to a real public health problem. Indeed, 70% of French people suffer from more or less recurring sleep problems, according to an IFOP survey for Les-Matelas.fr. We have never slept so little, having lost almost an hour and a half of sleep per night in the space of fifty years.
And the soft music in all this?
Soft music would help you fall asleep quickly. In any case, this is confirmed by several studies carried out on the subject, notably “Music improves sleep quality in older adults”, conducted by researchers Hui-Ling Lai and Marion Good. Main conclusion: 45 minutes of music before going to bed allows you to have a better quality of sleep, from the first night.
Attention : we are not talking here about blasting Metallica or Rage Against The Machine. Only soft music, if possible not catchy, without chorus, or without singing, so as not to take up your brain.
The combination of CBD and soft music: obvious?
On the one hand, you have the soothing properties, the anti-stress virtues and the pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects of CBD. On the other hand, you have the “immersive” side of soft music that wraps you in a protective cocoon, especially if you have a little noise around. What more could you ask for?
Our advice:
-
The timing of CBD consumption is important. If you opt for CBD to consume orally, take your dose at least two hours before going to the bed. If you opt for inhalation or sublingual, do it 20 minutes before.
-
For music, avoid headphones if possible. Use your smartphone speaker at low volume, and schedule the end of the broadcast.
