CBD clafoutis: juicy fruit wrapped in serenity

Rediscover clafoutis, that convivial family dessert, with the addition of a new ingredient straight from a beautiful (legal) hemp plant: cannabidiol, or CBD!

The aim here is to combine the deliciousness of a juicy seasonal fruit with the soothing, relaxing virtues of CBD for a relaxing end to the meal. Here goes the recipe.

Ingredients for CBD clafoutis (serves 6)

The version we are offering you today is very simple. You don't need to be an expert in pastry to make it a success. Allow less than an hour between preparation (20 minutes) and cooking (35 minutes). You will need the following ingredients:

  • Fruit of your choice: 500 g of pitted cherries or the seasonal fruit that inspires you, for a juicy and tasty base;
  • 4 eggs, to lightly bind everything together;
  • 100 g of sugar;
  • 80 g flour;
  • 240 ml of milk for a creamy texture;
  • 30 ml of premium quality CBD oil;
  • A pinch of salt to subtly enhance the flavors;
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, for an aromatic note that complements the fruit and CBD.

Clafoutis with CBD: we move on to the preparation

Preheat your oven to 180°C and butter a gratin dish. Then place the chosen fruits at the bottom of the dish. Cherry, for example, with its sweetness and juiciness, lends itself well to this recipe, but don't hesitate to experiment with other fruits depending on the season.

The chef's secret

One of the challenges with clafoutis is obtaining this very particular texture, both firm and melting. The secret to achieving this, especially when introducing a liquid ingredient like CBD oil, lies in the temperature of the eggs. Make sure your eggs are at room temperature before starting (not refrigerated).

In a salad bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the flour and a pinch of salt, mix gently. Integrate the milk little by little to avoid lumps, thenpour in the CBD oil and vanilla extract to flavor your device. The consistency should be smooth and homogeneous.

Pour this mixture over the fruit in your dish. The clafoutis maker will cook gently, enveloping the fruit in a tender and creamy texture, for a golden and slightly puffy result.

Let it cook in the oven for about 35 minutes. The surface should be nicely browned and the center just set, to keep a slight tremor when you shake the dish, a sign of an irresistibly soft center!

After cooking, let your clafoutis cool for a few moments before serving it. This dessert is perfect to end a meal on a note that is both delicious and soothing and prepares you for a good night's sleep.
