Ready-to-use or homemade massage CBD oil?
You have the choice between a CBD oil designed primarily for topical use (massage or application to the skin), and a “normal” CBD oil to which you will add a few additional ingredients to make an oil. massage.
Advantages and disadvantages of ready-to-use massage CBD oil
- Incorporates essential oils and soothing ingredients;
- The CBD content is precisely measured for optimal effectiveness;
- Immediate use.
There are, however, two drawbacks: it generally costs more than CBD oil prepared at home for massage, and you don't have any flexibility to customize it.
Pros and cons of homemade CBD oil
Here we are talking about a classic CBD oil to which we add a few essential oils to make a massage CBD oil. Several advantages:
- You can personalize it according to your needs and tastes (fragrance, active ingredients, consistency, etc.);
- It costs less, especially if you buy a large volume that you dilute gradually.
This option has the disadvantages of its advantages: it requires a little elbow grease, and the dosage is approximate.
CBD massage oil: what concentration?
It all depends on your experience with CBD and your goals. We'll explain it all to you:
- To relieve intense and chronic muscle pain or recurrent inflammation ,you will probably need a potent CBD massage oil, with a concentration greater than 10% (e.g. more than 1000 mg in a 30 ml bottle);
- To relieve moderate joint stiffnessor low-intensity muscle pain, you can opt for an average concentration, around 5 to 7% (500 mg in a 30 ml bottle for example) ;
- If you simply want to have a relaxing massage, without pain-relieving or anti-inflammatory effects, you can get by with a CBD oil of less than 5%.

What spectrum for your massage CBD oil?
The answer is obvious: full-spectrum CBD oils are the most effective, as they cover all the good components of hemp and trigger the "entourage" effect.
Broad-spectrum CBD oils, which cover the majority of hemp components (except THC), are also of interest. They are certainly a little less effective, but they are less expensive.
If you have an intolerance to THC or only want the effects of CBD, you can opt for an “isolate” type cannabidiol oil.
