CBD resin: what are we talking about, exactly?
CBD resin, often referred to as hash or hashish of CBD, is a substance ultraconcentrated in cannabinoids which is presented in solid or semi-solid form, like a paste or a compact block, with a color that changes from light brown to black.
It is made by extracting trichomes, which concentrate everything good that the cannabis plant has. These small glands look like white or amber powder and contain CBD and other non-psychotropic cannabinoids, such as CBN, CBC and CBG.
There are two methods for obtaining a good potent CBD resin. First there is sieving, which involves using fine mesh screens to separate the trichomes from the rest of the plant . We then recover what has passed through the mesh to form a quality resin.
Then there is extraction with cold water. We will mix certain parts of the cannabis plant with ice water and ice cubes to harden the trichomes and make them come off more easily. After careful filtering through special bags, we obtain a mixture which, once dry, transforms into powerful CBD resin.
Potent CBD resin: what is the benefit for the consumer?
It's simple: the resin concentrates all that is good in the cannabis plant while eliminating the "high" or psychotropic effect. Reserved for experienced consumers, whose body is already accustomed to the pleasures of legal hemp, the powerful CBD resin provides them:
- Relaxation and relaxation, thanks to the soothing virtues of CBD. The resin is particularly effective against stress and anxiety;
- Rapid relief of acute or chronic pain, of mild to moderate intensity;
- Fight against insomnia and paradoxical sleep disorders;
- Anti-inflammatory action without the usual side effects of medications against inflammation. Caution: CBD resin is not a medicine, and it cannot replace treatment prescribed by your doctor.
How to consume CBD resin?
CBD resin can be consumed in three different ways, depending on your preferences:
- Vaporization allows the active compounds to be inhaled without burning the plant material, which reduces the consumer's exposure to harmful substances produced by combustion. Vaporizers designed for concentrates heat the CBD resin to a temperature that releases the cannabinoids and terpenes without creating smoke;
- Dabbing, a technique based on the dab rig, a type of water pipe, and a blowtorch to heat the surface on which the CBD resin is placed. When heated to high temperature, it vaporizes and is safe to inhale;
- Infusion, by dissolving the CBD resin in fatty substances such as oil or butter to then be used in cooking or as a base for herbal teas. Since cannabinoids are fat-soluble, this method allows good extraction of active compounds.
