#1 We consume our CBD with foods rich in (good) fats
A study carried out by the University of Minnesota explains that CBD is much better absorbed when consumed with foods high in fat. The report tells us in particular that lipids facilitate the transport of CBD molecules across cell membranes to increase their bioavailability.
Concretely, by taking your CBD oil or flower with coconut oil, avocados or even eggs, you will feel its soothing or energizing effects more, depending on the strain consumed (Sativa or Indica, respectively).
? Idea: make yourself a nice little smoothie with coconut milk in which you put a few small drops of a good full-spectrum CBD oil !
#2 We consume our CBD sublingually
You simply place a few drops of CBD oil under the tongue, let the product dissolve for a minute, then swallow the remainder, if necessary. CBD, and all active ingredients in general, will be quickly absorbed by the numerous blood vessels present in this area. The sublingual mucosa is also very thin, which makes absorption even easier.
By taking your CBD sublingually, you will bypass the digestive system and the liver and thus avoid the degradation of CBD molecules, but also terpenes and flavonoids by liver enzymes. Only good!
#3 We preferentially consume full-spectrum CBD
Full-spectrum CBD products contain, in addition to CBD, other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids naturally occurring in the cannabis plant. You'll be giving your body everything good the hemp plant has to offer! When ingested collectively, these compounds create what's known as the "entourage effect," whereby hemp works much more when consumed whole.
A study published in the Journal of Pharmacology & Pharmacy in 2015 demonstrated that full-spectrum cannabis extracts are significantly more effective than isolated or incomplete CBD extracts. With this synergy from mother nature, your CBD will give you the soothing, anti-inflammatory and/or pain-relieving effect you are looking for.
