This prohibition thus appears to cover all transactions involving cannabis, the plant, resin, and tetrahydrocannabinols (THC).
However, the law has provided an exemption mechanism for "certain varieties of cannabis without narcotic properties or products containing such varieties" [1].
1] This exemption mechanism was established by the decree of 22 August 1990, which lists 18 varieties of cannabis that may be cultivated. All these varieties are deemed to contain less than 0.2% THC.
As for the Amnesia Haze variety, it should be noted that its cultivation is completely legal, as it has less than 0.2% THC content.
As for the marketing or consumption of CBD, it was thought for a long time that it was enough for the content to be less than 0.2% THC for CBD to be legal.
However, an intervention by the Inter-ministerial Mission for the Fight against Drugs and Addictive Behaviours (MILDECA) formally rectified this by making it known that this 0.2% THC threshold only concerned the seeds and fibres [2].
2] Consequently, the finished CBD product would have to contain 0% THC to be legal. 3] However, given that it is almost impossible to have a total absence of THC in the finished CBD product, such a requirement seems almost utopian.
This seemed to be the meaning of a ruling by the European Court of Justice [4], which made it clear that instead of banning any product containing even a tiny amount of THC, a consequent threshold [5] should be set, in accordance with EU law, as several EU countries have done.
Moreover, it should be noted that since 25 October 2020, the threshold for the presence of THC has been pushed back to 0.3% by the European Parliament [6]. But we still have to wait for the adoption process to be completed before such a measure has legal force in the countries of the Union [7].
How to consume CBD Amnesia Haze?

Several research laboratories around the world, such as scientific research laboratories in Israel, Spain and the United States, have been interested in the analgesic properties of CBD and have concluded that they are effective [11].
11] Among the studies that have been carried out on osteoarthritis or arthritis, we can cite those published by the European Journal of Pain. But it should be noted that rats suffering from arthritis were used as guinea pigs. The experts were able to observe a total disappearance of pain and inflammation. Better still, no side effects were noted.
It is therefore to be hoped that studies will be carried out on a large scale and that they will focus on "humans", as there are very few cannabis-based medicines available in France at the moment. The results obtained by the various studies have yet to be completed [13].
